BGT gets off to a GOLDEN start!

Talking dogs, contortionists and musical combs - must be the new series of Britain's Got Talent!

The series got off to a glittering start on Saturday with 26-year-old singer Calum Scott booking himself an automatic place at the live shows in May.

The recruitment officer from Hull earned a standing ovation from the audience with his moving rendition of Dancing On My Own by Robyn, prompting a beaming Simon to hit the golden buzzer.

But it was a bittersweet moment for Calum, as little sister Jade had been voted off the stage just moments before, and could be seen wiping away tears before she rushed on stage to congratulate her talented sibling.

Earlier in the night, Mark Métral and his talking dog Miss Wendy left Simon a smitten kitten, while mis-behaved Yorkshire Terrier Max had everyone in stitches by terrorising Ant.

Roller-skating siblings left the Judges open-mouthed in amazement, and there was even a saucy striptease from burlesque troop The Ruby Red Performers, who revealed Union Jack nipple tassels underneath their aprons!

Ooo I say!
