Cast your mind back to 2007 and the first series of Britain’s Got Talent, when mobile phone salesman turned opera singer, Paul Potts, blew the Judges away at his first audition with his version of Nessun Dorma.
Amanda went on to brand him “a lump of coal that is going to turn into a diamond” and she wasn’t wrong, with Potts going on to win the show.
