Want to get paid... for walking?

Get paid for walking, Tesco pet insurance, 2 for 1 Starbucks and 40% off Body Shop sale. These are our Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis’ Quick Deals.

Remember, deals can change quickly, even while I’m on the programme. So always double-check the terms and conditions before spending. Plus, while I hope these deals will save you cash, don’t spend if you can’t afford it, don’t need it, or won’t use it.

Get paid for walking

Sign up to free fitness rewards app Bounts, and connect it to your fitness tracker (including Fitbit, Jawbone, Garmin and iWatch) or smartphone app (like RunKeeper, MapMyfitness and Moves), and you’ll earn points when you walk, exercise or go to the gym.

The more exercise you do the more points you earn, which can then be converted into vouchers, to be used at retailers and restaurants such as Amazon, John Lewis, Sainsbury’s, Pizza Express, M&S, Boots and Cineworld (full Bounts redemption list).

It’s been set up by a company working with the fitness industry to encourage exercise, and check into gyms, of course that builds them business. Yet even if all you do is walk and hit 7,000 steps in a day you can get a £5 voucher within a few months, but do more exercise, and it’s far quicker. And if you’ve already got a fitness tracker it’s a no brainer to connect the two.

Tesco pet insurance

Until 1 March, if you buy the Premier or Extra pet insurance policy for dogs or cats from Tesco (not its standard policy) and use the codeTOPPET you’ll get 4,000 Tesco Clubcard points, which is worth £40 instore or up to £160 in its partner voucher scheme.

While this is a nice offer, it’s only good for you if it’s not much more costly than others. So always do a comparison first. Both Gocompare andCompare the Market have pet insurance comparisons, and if time checkDirect Line and Leisure Guard that they miss too.

2 for 1 Starbucks coffee

Go into any Benefit store or to a concession stand (which are found in department stores such as Debenhams) from Monday and you’ll be able to pick up a free pink Starbucks coffee cup sleeve that when you show in any Starbucks will get you 2 for 1 on any hot drink.

Plus you’ll also be able to pick up a free pink Benefit coaster from any Starbucks (it may not be available in all stores till next Friday 5 February) which you can then show at the Benefit counter to get a free make over (there’s no obligation to buy anything from them afterwards). You can get both till Thursday 31 March.

Go online or in-store to The Body Shop and you can get 40% off almost everything, including those already reduced by up to 50% in the sale. You'll need to enter the code 14665 (or if instore show it on your smartphone or take a printout in store) and it's valid until 9am on Tuesday.
