We hear the inspiring tale of how an orphaned and severely malnourished Exmoor pony foal battled against the odds to survive and thrived beyond expectations.

Monsieur Chapeau was found starving with pneumonia on the moors of Exmoor in January 2014.

He could stand up on his own after ten days.

Dawn Westcott, who rescued him and who founded the Moorland Exmoor Pony Breeders Group, has since released a hardback book which tells the story of how Monsieur Chapeau has thrived – bringing with him the secrets of how to create a bond of friendship and trust with wild Exmoor ponies. Dawn joins us, along with Monsieur Chapeau.
