Can online estate agents really save you money?

April is the most popular month to put your house on the market, and from Purple Bricks to Tepilo, we seem to be inundated with adverts for online estate agents promising to slash the cost of selling your home, and some even promising to buy it themselves if they can’t sell it.

So what’s the catch? Will the online estate agents do the job or are we better off parting with a little more cash and going with a trusted high street name?
