Speedway champion Ivan Mauger dies age 78
Speedway Champion Ivan Mauger OBE has died at the age of 78.
The New Zealander was a rider for several British teams during his career.
He rode for the Exeter Falcons between 1973 and 1977, when he equalled Ove Fundin's then-record of five World Championship wins.
He passed away, after battling dementia, in his home at Australia's Gold Coast this morning.
