Locals advised to keep windows shut as tyre fire burns

Residents in a village near Sta Austell have been advised to keep their windows and doors closed after firefighters spent the night tackling a fire at a tyre yard.

The fire service warned that smoke from the fire at the Gwindra Industrial Estate in St Stephen is drifting towards the nearby village of Trewoon.
