Pheasant survives crash through bus windscreen then hitches ride home
A pheasant crashed through the window of a double decker bus in Gloucester, landed on the top seat and was remarkably unscathed.
While the bus passengers were initially in a bit of a flap, no one was injured and the bird appeared not to have suffered any harm after such a high impact collision.
It stayed on the seat for the twenty minute ride back to the bus depot. The pheasant was then taken to Vale Wildlife Hospital near Tewkesbury and released just five minutes later with a few ruffled feathers, but it was otherwise completely unscathed.
