Police called to disturbance at Yorkley Farm
Following the eviction of the people living at Yorkley Farm on 10 March police were called at just after 10am the following day to disturbances involving several people who had returned to the site.
Police arrested one man on suspicion of assault. Officers also advised those present that they were unlawfully on private land and should leave straight away.
A number of people on site refused to comply and some have now occupied the roof of a hut on the land.
During the day some of those on site were seen with weapons and behaving threateningly.
In order to ensure the safety of those present police officers remain on the scene. Efforts are continuing to resolve the situation.
