The mother of a 12-year-old boy killed by a freak accident during a football match has revealed the family donated his organs to transplant patients.
Oliver Croker died after suffering severe head injuries when part of a metal fence at the side of the pitch in Kensham Park in Bradninch, near Exeter, hit him during the game.
In a post on Facebook, his mother Pippa said she felt "so proud" that Oliver could help save the lives of others.
We would very much like you all to feel so proud of Oliver this evening. Through organ donation he has given life to five other children.
He will live on in them. What very lucky boys and girls they are!!! Love you our beautiful gorgeous boy!! X
