Double-decker bus fire closes part of the A361

A double-decker bus was reduced to a burnt-out wreck after catching fire near Tiverton this afternoon. Smoke could be seen for miles around after the Stagecoach bus burst into flames on the westbound carriageway of the A361.

The driver escaped without injury. There were no passengers on board.
