Last surviving 1948 Olympic gold medallist dies

The last surviving British gold medallist from the 1948 London Olympic Games has died.

Falmouth resident David Bond who took gold in a Swallow two-man Olympic class keelboat used solely for the 1948 Games, passed away peacefully at home last month shortly before his 91st birthday.
