Defendant's diary shown to jury in Joss Stone plot trial

The diary of one of two men accused of plotting to kill Devon-based singer Joss Stone has been shown to the jury at Exeter Crown Court.

Kevin Liverpool wrote his thoughts about the soul singer and also talked of the need to buy a semi-automatic gun, a silencer and a "ninja sword".

The diary was seized by police when they raided Liverpool's flat in Longsight, Manchester after he had been arrested in Devon.

Liverpool and co-accused Junior Bradshaw, deny plotting to rob and kill Miss Stone before dumping her body in a river in June 2011.
