Small Arctic island arrives in South West

A small island which has been towed from the Arctic is arriving in the South West today. Nowhere Island is 40 metres long and 8 metres tall and is an arts project created by Alex Hartley. It's a new nation with citizenship open to all.

The island will arrive at Furzy Cliff in Weymouth for the Olympic sailing events. It will then travel along the coast and visit eight ports and harbours. It's one of 12 arts projects across the UK funded by the Arts Council of England.
