A school is counting the cost of flash floods in Exeter. Ladysmith Infant School was forced to close today after three classrooms were damaged by running water.

One of the teachers, Louise Moretta, has been helping with the clean-up.

Flash flooding in Exeter

Motorists in Exeter are being warned to take care after flash flooding hit a number of roads following a thunderstorm.

Police are advising drivers not to attempt to drive through the water, which is a foot deep in places.

One of the worst affected places was Longbrook Street, near John Lewis.
