Abandoned Torquay puppies now healthy and nearly ready for new homes
A litter of puppies abandoned and put out with the rubbish in Torquay are about to be re-homed.
The Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppies are now six weeks old and have been hand-reared at Animals in Distress rescue centre in Ipplepen village in Devon.
The charity was overwhelmed with offers of help from supporters, donations of money and other things like puppy milk, all which have helped to get them to this stage.
The puppies have been getting to know their new owners, each of whom has been coming in from time to time to get properly acquainted.
One new owner, Dawn Sowerby, had been looking for a new puppy after one of her dogs died recently.
In just over a week's time, the puppies will be re-homed.
