Bristol firefighters extinguish blaze involving up to 10 cars
Firefighters in Bristol have extinguished a fire involving up to 10 cars at a scrapyard on Fishponds Trading Estate.
Crews from four fire engines and a turntable ladder tackled the fire close to Rose Green Road.
Avon Fire and Rescue says a number of emergency calls were received from members of the public.
"Three main jets were used to tackle the fire which is believed to have involved 10 cars and a caravan at the scrapyard.
"The fire, which is thought to have started accidentally, caused a large plume of smoke which was visible across the city.
"There were no reports of any injuries."
