Living room destroyed after tumble dryer fire

The living room of a house in Newquay has been destroyed by fire. The blaze is believed to have broken out after a tumble dryer caught fire.

Two fire engines from Newquay Community Fire Station went to the two-storey house on Henver Road and firefighters went in with hoses to put the flames out.

The firefighters were able to put out the flames and clear the smoke but the damage to the living room was severe.
