The Met Office says its monitoring the developing weather situation and is asking people to keep an eye on the latest forecast and be aware that the weather may change or worsen.
The thundery showers are expected to push north across southern parts of the UK through Tuesday evening.
Although many places won't see these showers, the Met Office says there is a chance of localised flooding.
