'Killer clown' stabs woman through her letterbox

Police are looking for a so-called 'killer clown' after a woman was stabbed in the leg through the letterbox of her home in Gloucester.

Wearing a clown mask, the man knocked on the window of the woman's home in Robinhood Street and she opened it to see who it was.

The force says it did have some reports of clowns behaving suspiciously in October as part of a national trend. It cannot say if this is linked to that trend but up until now it has not had any incidents where someone has been attacked in their own home.
