RNLI lifeguards called to the aid of stranded dolphin
It's not the usual call lifeguards expect to receive, but the RNLI certainly weren't about to turn down helping a stranded dolphin.
RNLI lifeguards came to the aid of the dolphin that'd ended up in the Burnham-on-Sea area, just after midday on 9 August.
Lifeguards Scott Temple and Luke Penman were alerted to the mammal which was on the beach.
Scott and Luke were quick off the bat to help keep the dolphin breathing and afloat, before the coastguard and Burnham Area Rescue Boat (BARB) arrived to take over its care.
