A Wiltshire couple are celebrating becoming millionaires - after an utterly unsuspecting lottery win.

51-year-old Ruth Doyle and husband Peter, 60, thought they had won £25 two months ago, but didn't check the full results.

It turns out Ruth had matched the unique EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker code - netting her and her husband £1 million, and a phone call from Camelot letting them know, just in time for their bronze wedding anniversary today.

Today the happy pair, who live in Lyneham, returned to celebrate their good fortune at the hotel in Royal Wootton Bassett where they tied the knot exactly eight years ago.

Despite now being a millionaire, Ruth, a Senior Programme Manager for Johnson Controls in Europe, and Peter, a Decorator Development Manager for AkzoNobel, Dulux, are planning to be sensible with their winnings, paying off mortgages and checking on their pensions.

They're also planning a trip to their holiday home in Spain.
