Families who have rented beach huts in East Devon for generations fear they could be forced out by a proposed new bidding process.

The council wants to raise more money from the service. Residents who already pay hundreds of pounds a season for huts or pitches fear they could lose out if bidding is allowed.

A consultation about the controversial move is taking place.
