Potential future sailing stars are showing their skills off the coast of Dorset this week.

The Cadet class World Championships are being held at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy. It's attracted some of the best young international talent. sailors keen to sail from a venue that's building on its legacy of hosting the Olympic games.

Teams of two, boy or girl aged from 7 to 17 crew these little boats. Some of the best in the world are here.

Learn to sail these boats and you'll be able to sail anything. Teenagers learning in the Cadet often move on to sail in the Olympic classes. Some like Joe Glanfield and Pippa Wilson later won silver and gold at the games. Further inspiration for these young people already exited about sailing at an Olympic venue.
