REPORT: Work begins near Bath on £50m rail project

Work started today near Bath on a 50 million pound project to get the rail line from the West to London ready for electrification. Some train services will be disrupted for six weeks from Monday while Network rail lowers the track. This has to be done to make room for overhead equipment without altering historic architecture. such as the Box Tunnel.
