Bailiffs remove tree protesters in Bristol
Bristol City Council says it has removed protesters from the Stapleton allotments in Bristol where they have been camping in trees to protect them from being cut down for the new Metrobus route.

Protesters occupying land designated for Bristol's new MetroBus have called on Mayor George Ferguson to meet with them to discuss ways the 200 million pound scheme could be redesigned. Bailiffs have not yet cleared the site despite having a court order to do so.
Simon Bramwell, one of the protesters at the site says he welcomes the MetroBus scheme but doesn't think the land should go as a result:
