No sign of bailiffs at Bristol tree protest

By 6:30 Friday evening there was still no sign of the bailiffs expected to remove protestors from their camp on the Stapleton Allotments in Bristol.

The High Court in Bristol yesterday granted the city council immediate possession of the allotments.

The campaigners are unhappy that the trees will be cut down, and a wildflower meadow destroyed, to make way for a new MetroBus route. They've been camping in the trees for 12 days and say they're well supplied for a longer wait.
