Man killed in canal boat fire in Wiltshire

An investigation is underway after a man died in a fire in a canal boat on the Kennet and Avon Canal.

Fire crews were called to Hilperton Marsh in Wiltshire this morning after a dog walker spotted flames coming from the vessel.

A man was discovered on board the boat and was pronounced dead at the scene.
