There was a gold medal for Bath's Chris Walker-Hebborn, who beat defending champion Liam Tancock in the 100 metres backstroke final. The 24-year-old set a new Commonwealth record with a time of 53.12 seconds.
Bath teenager Siobhan Marie O'Connor just missed out on a gold medal in the 100 metre butterfly final. The 18-year-old won her third silver of the games.
