The Free School revolution

Education is under-going its biggest revolution in a generation and at its heart, are so-called free schools. They're open to all but funded directly by central Government, free of local authority control.

Bristol is home to one of the first and biggest free schools in the country. Our education correspondent Richard Payne was there when it opened. Now, a year on, he's returned to talk to the teachers, parents and pupils who've been there from the start.
