Aimi Garidis, whose husband died from a lethal cocktail of drugs, says legalising drugs is the only way for society to take control.

I'm angry at the lack of support he received, he was definitely not a criminal, he was a good man, a good family man.

Families of drug addicts who died from overdoses are calling for a radical change in the law to save other young lives.

They met in Bristol to support a campaign called, "Anyone's Child". They're calling for drugs like heroin to be legalised because they say users should be helped, not criminalised.

Fifty people every week in the UK die from a drug related death and fifty more people become me. I can't allow that to be the norm so although it's painful to tell my story I have to until things change.

– ANNE-MARIE COCKBURN, Mother of drugs overdose victim

The Transform campaign group says legalising drugs will:

  • Saves lives
  • Protect health
  • Reduce crime and violence
  • Protect children
  • Save money
