Travel disruption expected on morning commute after closure of Bath to Bristol railway line
Passengers travelling on one of the busiest railway lines in the West are being loaded onto replacement buses while electrification work takes place.
The main line between Bath and Bristol has already been closed since Saturday and will stay shut until next Sunday.
The work at Keynsham railway station is affecting travel into the region as well as around it.
The engineering works are part of a strategy to prepare the Great Western Main Line for the arrival of longer, faster and green electric trains.
They include lowering the tracks, platform modifications and installing overhead electric cable as part of the £40 billion 'Railway Upgrade Plan'.
Passengers are being advised to check before they travel through National Rail Enquiries or train operator, GWR.
