Thousands sign petition to move transgender woman from all male prison

More than 100,000 people have signed a petition to move a transgender woman from an all-male prison in Bristol to an alternative facility.

Tara Hudson, from Bath, was ordered by magistrates to serve a 12-week sentence for assault at Bristol Prison. That's despite the 26-year-old having lived as a woman her whole adult life.

Tara's family are campaigning against the decision, saying her own doctor has confirmed she is a woman. Her mum, says the way she's been treated is "harsh":
