Sally Ann murder inquiry: Forensic search of Swindon flat
Police investigating the suspected murder of Sally Ann John, a young woman who went missing two decades ago, are searching a home in Swindon today.
Forensic teams expect to be at the flat in Kimmeridge Close, Nythe, for about a week.
Sally Ann was last seen in September 1995, at the age of 23. She was working as a prostitute at the time. Last year her missing persons inquiry was reclassified as a murder investigation.
The flat being searched is her last known address. Police have stressed that the person currently living there has nothing to do with the investigation.
They are asking anyone with information to come forward as a matter of urgency. Last year her mother made an emotional appeal for witnesses, saying she still thinks of her daughter everyday.
