New course record set for Bristol half marathon
Thousands of spectators lined the streets of Bristol to watch people from all walks of life take part in the Bristol half marathon.
The race started at 09:30 with two waves, and was followed by another wave at 10:00.
A new race record was set by Kenyan Morris Muene Gachaga in one hour one minute and 31 seconds. Beating the old record by over a minute.
Amongst the runners was local elite athlete Jenny Spink who came third in the women's category.
For lots of other people running the race it wasn't about the time, it was about raising money for charity or completing a personal challenge.
