Armed officers deployed after incident in Cardiff

A street in a busy part of Cardiff was closed and armed officers deployed following an incident today.

Police were called to Miskin Street in the Cathays area around 12:20pm.

Police say the armed officers were sent in as a precaution and the road was closed in order to safeguard members of the public and officers at the scene.

Two males and a female have been arrested in connection with the incident and have been taken to Cardiff Bay Police Station.

Miskin Street has now reopened.
