Woman's body found on Llandudno beach

North Wales Police says a body has been discovered on Llandudno’s North Parade beach.

The discovery was made at around 9.15pm last night, Wednesday 7th December.

Officers say the woman was pronounced dead at the scene and later formally identified as 63 year old Gwynedd woman Wendy Balaam who had been reported missing from her home earlier that day.

Next of kin have been informed. Police say they are not treating the death as suspicious and the matter has been referred to the coroner.
