A body has been found in the search for a woman missing from a ferry.

A major search operation was launched this morning after a passenger was reported missing from a ferry travelling from Pembroke to Rosslare overnight. Dyfed Powys Police says the body has not been formally identified.

A search is underway for a passenger believed to have gone overboard on a ferry crossing from Pembroke to Rosslare.

The ferry left Pembroke last night and arrived in Ireland this morning. A woman was reported missing at around 8.15am and two coastguard helicopters are now searching the area along with rescue teams from Tenby, Llansteffan and St Govans. The Angle inshore and all weather lifeboats a Port Authority vessel are also assisting the search, as are Dyfed Powys Police and Ireland's National Police Service.
