Nick Smith has become the latest Welsh MP to resign from his position on the Labour front bench.
The Blaenau Gwent MP said in his resignation letter that he was "afraid for the future" of Labour with Jeremy Corbyn as leader.
Corbyn has seen mass resignations from the front bench in recent days, including a number of Welsh MPs.
But he has refused to resign as Labour leader, despite the party's MPs overwhelmingly backing a vote of no confidence.
A total of 172 MPs said they had no confidence in Corbyn compared to 40 who backed him.
Corbyn has remained defiant, saying the ballot had "no constitutional legitimacy" and he would "not betray" the party members who elected him by resigning.
The appointment of 81 year old Paul Flynn as Shadow Welsh Secretary has been welcomed by senior Conservative backbencher David Davies.
