Appeal after two seriously injured in separate crashes

Police in north Wales are appealing for witnesses to separate collisions yesterday, in which two men were seriously injured.

The first crash happened on the A5 at Capel Curig at around 1.50pm and involved two cars, a van and a motorbike.

The motorcyclist - a Wrexham man in his 50s - was airlifted to hospital in Stoke with life-threatening injuries.

The second collision happened at around 3.30pm in Maentwrog, Blaenau Ffestiniog, and involved a motorbike.

That motorcyclist, a Cheshire man in his 30s, was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor with serious leg injuries.
