Police appeal after store robbery in Caerleon

Gwent Police is appealing for information after a man made off with a quantity of cash following a robbery in Caerleon.

It took place just before the Spar Store and Service Station on Ponthir Road was due to close between 10.50pm and 11pm on Friday night.

Police say the man entered the store, threatened staff, and made off with a quantity of cash, leaving on foot.

He is described as a white man approximately 6ft tall with brown eyes. The man was wearing a green hooded jacket with orange lining to the hood, dark blue jeans, dark coloured trainers, and had most of his face covered with some type of hood or head-over scarf.

Officer say the incident is subject to an on-going investigation anyone with information is asked to contact Gwent Police on 101.
