Man arrested after driver dies in Bridgend A48 crash

One man has been arrested after a collision on the A48 in Bridgend on Sunday, where a driver in his 60s died. A yellow Seat was travelling from Laleston in the direction of Broadlands when it collided with a blue Citroën that was exiting from Laleston lane.

Family pay tribute to A48 crash victim

The family of Christopher Furniss, who died in a collision on the A48 in Bridgend on Sunday, have paid tribute to him.

Mr Furniss was described as 'a loving husband, father and grandfather, who will be sadly missed by all his family and friends’

The 68 year-old man from Laleston died when the blue Citroen he was driving was in collision with a yellow Seat.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers investigating the incident are continuing their appeal for witnesses to the incident which occurred shortly before 1pm.

The yellow Seat was travelling from Laleston in the direction of Broadlands when it collided with the blue Citroën that was exiting from Laleston lane.

The 21 year old male driver of the Seat was arrested but has since been released on police bail.
