Drivers stranded in car park after Royal Welsh Winter Fair

A number of cars have been stranded because of flooding after the first day of the Royal Welsh Winter Fair in Builth Wells.

The event is due to continue as planned tomorrow, but the Royal Welsh Society said on Monday night it was helping visitors to get home safely.

Emergency services in Mid Wales say they've had a number of calls this evening of cars getting stuck in deep waters.

They've urged people to only make essential journeys.
