Road closures in Cardiff city centre due to 10K run

There are road closures around the centre of Cardiff this morning, as a record 5,000 people take part in the 10K and 2K road races.

It is the 30th year of the event, organised by charity Kidney Wales.

Roads affected by closures include:

  • A48 Western Avenue nearside westbound lane from the Taff River Bridge to junction with Mill Lane
  • North Road Cycle Path, across junction with Corbett Road/North Road
  • Castle Street
  • Westgate Street north of junction with Park Street
  • Duke Street
  • Kingsway
  • North Road south of Colum Road
  • Boulevard de Nantes
  • Corbett Road
  • Cowbridge Road East east of its junction with Neville Street
  • Lower Cathedral Road north of its junction with Neville Street
  • Penhill (except for access)
  • Cathedral Road
  • Museum Avenue
  • City Hall Road
  • College Road
  • Gorsedd Gardens Road
  • Museum Place
