Man killed after being hit by car in Llandeilo

A 49-year-old man from the Penygroes area has died after being hit by a car near Llandeilo last night.

The accident happened at around 9pm on the A476 just out of Ffairfach when the man was struck by a red Vauxhall Corsa travelling in the same direction.

The driver of the car stopped and contacted the emergency services but the man died at the scene.

Dyfed Powys Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have been travelling on the road between Ffairfach and Carmel around the time of the collision who may have either seen the car travelling on the road or may have seen someone walking on the road.
