Police close beach as bomb washes-up
Police have closed a beach after an unexploded mine was washed-up on the sands.
Dyfed Powys Police says it was called to the West Beach in Burry Port near Llanelli at around 11.05am after the coastguard informed them an unexploded bomb had washed up.
The beach is closed while police await the arrival of explosive ordnance teams and the cordon will be in place until the explosive team make the device safe.
Carmarthenshire Council it has been identified as a military mine and the beach was evacuated of people.
