Newport cyclist Jon Mould has been confirmed as the winner of the British Cycling Elite Series at this evening's Chepstow Grand Prix.

The 24-year-old One Pro Cycling rider led the Series heading into the race and had only one rider who could realistically catch him - David McGowan.

But with McGowan not starting due to illness, Mould was assured of success from the off.

The race finished with JLT Condor's Graham Briggs in first, his teammate Tom Moses in second, and Jon Mould's teammate Chris Opie in third.

The series concludes in Abergavenny on Friday night, where the 2015 Elite Circuit Series champion will be crowned.
