81-year-old pilot hospitalised after aircraft crashes into field

An 81-year-old man from the Brecon area is in hospital with minor injuries after a light aircraft crashed into a field near Llangorse, Brecon.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash between Bwlch and Llangorse at around 4:14pm.

The pilot was the only person on board the aircraft at the time of the crash. He was taken to Morriston Hospital by air ambulance.

The incident has now been referred to the Air Accident Investigation Branch.
