Two men die after swimming near north Wales waterfall

Two men who died after swimming near a north Wales waterfall have been named as Steffan Robert Vernon and Alexander Hadley. The men were part of a group of four who went for a swim in the water near Llanberis yesterday morning.

Police warn of dangers after two men die in swimming accident

Two men died and two others received hospital treatment, after they got into difficulties while swimming near a waterfall in Llanberis.

Emergency services including an RAF Valley Sea King helicopter were involved in the search operation as police attempted to recover the bodies.

Local residents say the waterfall is a dangerous spot for swimmers. The police have tonight warned the public to be cautious following the deaths of the two men.
