A man is in custody and a child has been airlifted to hospital after a collision involving a quad bike. South Wales Police is appealing for information following the incident on Margaret Street in Pontypridd.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a seven-year-old child was hit by a quad bike and suffered "serious injuries".
South Wales Police say the incident happened at around 6pm on Tuesday at Hopkinstown, Pontypridd.
A seven-year-old boy was walking on Telekeiber Road, Hopkinstown in the general direction of Pontypridd when he was in collision with a blue Quad motorcycle.
The child suffered serious injuries and was air lifted to Morriston Hopsital.
Officers are asking witnesses who either saw the collision or the manner of riding of the motorcyclist to call 101 quoting 1500185685.
